Hi, I’m Vicki. I’ll be the one everyone thinks is a cousin.
Leicester wedding photographer, classic rock fan, and permanently in need of dry shampoo.
How I fell into weddings
I picked up a camera at school and spent my early years photographing music gigs and burlesque shows. Then one day, someone I’d met at a show got in touch in a panic. Their wedding photographer had cancelled three weeks before the big day.
I was completely out of my depth. I also had the best time. That was 14 years ago, and I’ve been photographing weddings ever since.

Your wedding should be about you two
What I love most about weddings now is that it’s finally fine to break the rules. Need a break in the day to decompress? Build one in. Want the maddest dancefloor ever? Make it happen. If something doesn’t make you happy, ditch it.
On the day, I’m looking for the real stuff: the tears, the hysterical laughter, the close hugs, and the looks you give each other when you think no one’s watching. That’s what I live for.
Shy? Good. Most of my couples are.
Getting to know you properly matters to me, because it makes the whole thing more comfortable. We’ll chat before the day, and if you go for a pre-wedding shoot, we’ll have had a laugh together long before the wedding. By the time you’re walking down the aisle, I’m just another friendly face.

A few things about me
I’m happiest travelling. Mexico is my favourite place so far: tacos, margaritas and a turquoise sea.
Classic rock on your playlist? I might just have a dance with you.
I love hiking and climbing, so if you want a wander for photos, I’m in.
I once fell flat on my face in a lavender bush mid-shoot. Occupational hazard.
I split my lip with my own camera while hanging out of a window for a group shot. Commitment.
Some nice things
My gothic wedding shoot at the National Justice Museum, Nottingham, was featured by Hello magazine.
I assisted Lisa Devlin on a Rock n Roll Bride editorial in London.
