Elopement and small wedding photographer
Just the two of you on a hilltop, or your twenty favourite people in the pub. Big feelings, no big fuss.

Smaller wedding, bigger moments
Take away the pressure of 150 guests and all the stuff they expect, and something happens: the whole day becomes about the two of you. In my experience, small weddings are often the most emotional ones I photograph.
Travel and adventure have always been a big part of my life. I love to travel, hike and climb, and I never go anywhere without a camera. So if you want to swap the wedding breakfast for a hike, a row boat or a sunset with sheep looking on, I’m your photographer.

What could your elopement look like?
- A hilltop ceremony in the Peak District, then fish and chips in the car
- A city registry office, then a long lunch with your parents
- A celebrant-led ceremony on the beach where you had your first date
- An Airbnb in the hills, caterers in, marshmallows round the fire
- A destination adventure abroad (ask me for a custom quote)
The legal bit (quickly)
For now, in England and Wales, a celebrant-led ceremony isn’t legally binding on its own (the government has said it intends to recognise humanist weddings, but there’s no date yet). Most couples do a quick registry office ceremony for the paperwork, before or after, then have the meaningful one wherever they like. Scotland has different rules.
My guide covers it all →Elopement pricing
Elopements and small weddings start at my hourly rate of £275 an hour (minimum 2 hours), so you only pay for the coverage you need. My 4-hour package at £995 suits most intimate weddings. Both are for weekdays and for weekends October to April. Destination elopements are quoted individually.
See full pricing →Can we have guests at an elopement?
Of course. Plenty of my elopement couples bring immediate family or a handful of close friends.
Will you help us find a location?
Yes. I’m a keen hiker, so I’ll happily help you find a spot that suits you, whether that’s a hilltop or a quiet corner of a city.
What if it rains?
We embrace it. Some of the best photos happen under a big umbrella, wrapped in a blanket.
